Shinobu 10 Year Old Pure Malt is a Japanese blend of malt whiskies from the Shinobu Distillery in Niigata, each matured for at least ten years. It is finished in Mizunara oak and bottled at 43% ABV, non-chill filtered.
The colour is a deep mahogany gold. The nose is sweet and woody, with honey, maltose and citrus peel alongside the sandalwood scent of Mizunara. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, with buttery toffee, roasted nuts and a touch of dried ginger. The finish is long and slightly dry, with incense, clove and sweet oak.
