Shinobu is a Japanese blended whisky in a 750ml bottle, from the Shinobu Distillery in Niigata. The whisky is selected from several countries and rested in bourbon and sherry casks for more than three years, then finished in Mizunara oak in Japan. 'Shinobu' means forbearance.
The nose has butter, coconut, candy, mint, grass and wood. The palate is smooth and slightly oily, with a hint of Chinese incense, butter and vanilla.
The finish is medium, with sandalwood and vanilla.
