Shinobu Japanese Pure Malt Whisky (75cl)

Shinobu Pure Malt is a Japanese whisky from the Shinobu Distillery in Niigata, in the Koshi area, a region known for snow, rice and sake. It comes in a 75cl bottle. The whisky is selected from around the world and rests in bourbon and sherry casks for more than three years, then is finished in Mizunara oak in Japan. The name Shinobu means forbearance, a trait valued in Japanese culture. The nose offers vanilla, plums and mint. The palate is slightly sweet, with spices, vanilla, citrus and smoky oak, and the finish is medium, sweet and woody, with mint and a slight bitterness.
