This is a 15-year-old pure malt whisky from Shinobu, in Niigata, Japan, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The whiskies are drawn from different distilleries and first held in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks.
The blend is then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak. It is old gold in colour.
The nose brings deep wood, maltose, nectar and blueberry. The palate is oily, with ripe fruit, Mizunara wood, milk coffee, lemon peel, leather, cinnamon and ginger. The finish is long and strongly oaky, with a deep floral and woody character.
