The Koshi-No Shinobu is a lightly peated Japanese pure malt from the Shinobu Distillery in Niigata. Malts aged in sherry and bourbon hogshead casks are blended by master blender Usami Ken, then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak. It is unchill-filtered and has no added colour. The whisky has a robust body with smoky, toasted oak flavours. The nose is minty and creamy, with light peat and a touch of lemon. The palate shows moderate peat, toasted oak and a hint of saltiness. The finish lingers with toasted wood sweetness and roasted malt.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
