Shinshu 2013 is a single cask Japanese single malt from the Mars Shinshu Distillery, bottled to mark the 10th anniversary of Number One Drinks Company. It was distilled in 2013, shortly after the distillery resumed production following a long period of inactivity.
The whisky matured in a single bourbon barrel and was bottled in 2016 at 58.9%. The cask brings vanilla, orchard fruits, honey and gentle spice, alongside a delicate, mountain-style character from the distillery.
