This is a 3 year old Japanese single malt from Shizuoka, distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2022 by Blackadder at 64.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is one of 199 bottles from a single cask, and it marks the 10th anniversary of Gaiaflow Corporation, which imports Blackadder.
The spirit was made from Scottish non-peated barley, distilled in the distillery's K still and aged for three years in bourbon barrels. It was bottled directly from the cask, lees included, with minimal filtering.
Shizuoka was founded in 2016 and uses the wash still from the closed Karuizawa distillery.
