A peated Japanese single malt from Shizuoka distillery, distilled in 2020 and bottled in 2024 from a single ex-bourbon cask. It is bottled at 62.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Shizuoka was founded in 2016 by Taiko Nakamura, who rebuilt the mill and wash still from the closed Karuizawa distillery. One of its wash stills is wood-fired, and its distillate is made from 100% Japanese-grown barley.
