Silver Oak 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Magnum (1.5L)

This is the 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Silver Oak, in a 1.5 litre magnum. Silver Oak was founded in Oakville in 1972 on the principle of one wine, one grape and one region per label. 2019 is the first vintage aged entirely in American oak from the winery's own cooperage in Higbee, Missouri, which it acquired in 2015. Controlling the seasoning of the staves and the toasting of the barrels gives a more savoury, less coconut-led oak character, with the oak tannins closely integrated. In the glass it is elegant, supple and silky.
