This is a single malt from Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled by Single Cask Nation at 57.1% ABV. It was distilled in December 2015 and matured for nine years in a first-fill sherry hogshead, and 316 bottles were produced.
The notes are of dried figs, raisins and worn leather on the nose, with a delicate floral sweetness. The palate is medium-bodied, with treacle, chocolate cherry cake, muscovado sugar and concentrated dried fruit. The finish is long and warming, with dark fruit, toasted oak and a dry tingle.
