Smoke Wagon Desert Colt is a cask strength straight bourbon from Nevada H&C Distilling Co., bottled undiluted at 58.35% without chill filtration.
The whiskey is sourced from MGP in Indiana, with a mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% barley. It is aged for around four years or more in barrels kept on the top floors of the distiller's Las Vegas warehouse.
The nose brings candied fruit, corn bread and nutty vanilla, with cinnamon and oak char. The palate moves from honey and toffee to rye spice and light oak, with a creamy texture. The finish is short to medium, with berries and cinnamon.
