Smokehead New

Smokehead New is a young, heavily peated Islay single malt, bottled by the independent bottler Ian Macleod. Ian Macleod Distillers is a family company that has existed since 1933. The nose is fresh and fruity, with sherry, iodine, toffee and sea salt. The flavour is full, with seaweed and intense peat. On the nose, expect strong smoke and peat, a salty sea breeze, lemon and spice. The palate brings plenty of peat and smoke, fruity sweetness, a touch of sherry, sultanas and herbs. The finish carries herbs, spiced fruit and more peat smoke.
