Smokehead Sherry Blast is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
It begins as a heavily peated Islay malt and is then finished in sherry casks. The sherry adds richness, dried fruit and depth, while the peat stays dominant.
The nose combines peat smoke, dark berries, charred oak, raisins and bonfire ash. On the palate come smoked meat, treacle, dried figs, dark chocolate, black pepper, sweet sherry and coastal salt. The finish is long and smoky, with ash, dark fruit, spice and salt.
