Smokehead Sherry Bomb (70cl, 48%)

Smokehead Sherry Bomb is a well-peated Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in Oloroso sherry casks, and smoke and dried fruit run through it. The nose offers dark chocolate, seaweed, a hint of medicinal peat smoke, prunes and clove. On the palate come barbecue smoke, stem ginger, sherried peels, sea salt and rum-raisin ice cream. The finish ends on clove, red chilli flake and treacle.
