Smokehead Sherry Cask Blast

Smokehead Sherry Cask Blast is a limited Islay single malt from Ian MacLeod, matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The peat smoke of the Islay malt sits alongside the sherry influence, which gives the whisky a fruity, spicy side as well as a strong smoky one. The nose is smoky with plenty of fruit and a little vanilla. On the palate it is full-bodied, spicy and smooth, with intense smoke and sweeter notes of grilled banana, sultanas and dried fruit in the background. The finish is long, smoky and spicy, with a touch of sherry.
