Smokehead Tequila Cask is a limited edition Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled by Ian Macleod Distillers at 43% ABV. The peaty whisky is aged in oak and then finished in ex-Tequila casks.
The nose combines earthy peat and charred oak with agave, lime zest and roasted pineapple. On the palate it is smoky and zesty, with tequila spice, vanilla, salted caramel and citrus peel. The finish is long and smoky-sweet, leaving pepper, oak and tropical fruit.
