This is a 16 year old Speyside single malt from Speyburn Distillery, bottled at 43% in a 1 litre bottle. The distillery has been working since 1897 and draws its water from the Granty Burn.
The whisky was matured in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
The nose is toffee, citrus zest and a hint of dried apricot. The palate is creamy, with sweet honey, ripe orchard fruits and a touch of spicy oak. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla and a little nutmeg.
