A 44-year-old Speyside single malt from Speyburn, bottled from a single cask for the Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection. It was distilled in 1977 and bottled in 2021 at 59.2% ABV.
Over more than four decades in the cask it has developed a deep, concentrated structure.
The nose brings ripe fruit and citrus zest with vanilla, honey, spice and fine oak. The palate is powerful and full, with yellow fruit, caramel, nuts and spicy wood. The finish is very long and warm, with fruit, spices and dry oak.
