This is a 44-year-old Speyside single malt from Speyburn, distilled in 1977 and bottled in 2021 by Gordon & MacPhail for their Private Collection series.
It matured for over four decades in a single refill sherry butt, which yielded 414 bottles at a natural strength of 59.2%.
The whisky is deep and powerfully structured, with antique oak, dried fruit, dark chocolate and warming spice.
