A 12 year old single malt from Springbank in Campbeltown, bottled at cask strength, 55.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
Part of the whisky was matured in Bourbon casks, which shows in the aniseed and medicinal notes on the nose. A gentle peat influence runs from the first nose through to the finish.
The nose also offers butterscotch, toffee and a creamy, nutty aroma. On the palate come creamy confectionery, toffee, lemon sponge cake, cream soda and Turkish delight. The finish is smooth, with ginger, lemon zest and lingering peat smoke.
