This is a 22 year old single cask Springbank from Campbeltown, bottled by Hunter Laing in its Old & Rare Selection at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled in 1993 and matured in a refill hogshead until it was bottled in January 2016.
The nose is honeyed barley, apple, apricot and clean oak. On the palate, more honey and toffee come with coastal notes and a hint of espresso, leading to a finish of camphor and stewed lemon.
