Springbank 5 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at a cask strength of 57.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is labelled 100º Proof.
The whisky spent its five years in ex-bourbon casks. Fruit, malt, coastal minerality and gentle peat smoke run through it.
The nose has green apples, gorse and wine gums, with mineral notes. On the palate come delicate peat smoke, icing sugar and white chocolate, then savoury touches of tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil. The finish carries honey and gooseberries.
