Springbank – 5 Years 100 Proof (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a five year old Springbank from Campbeltown, bottled at 100 proof, which is 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is a young, cask strength malt, with malt, firm oak spice and a coastal note running through it. The nose is grainy and malty, with sea air, citrus and a touch of smoke. The palate is strong and oily, with malty sweetness, pepper, maritime hints and light oak. The finish is long and warming, with spice, salty minerality and smoke.
