Springbank 5 Years Old 100 Proof is a Campbeltown single malt, in a 70cl bottle at 57.1% ABV.
Springbank was founded in 1828 by Archibald Mitchell and is still family owned. It has never chill-filtered its whisky or added colouring, and this bottling follows that practice.
The nose has green apples, gorse and wine gums, with a fine mineral note. The palate is balanced, with a hint of peat smoke, icing sugar and white chocolate, then sunflower seeds and linseed oil. The finish is long, with honey and gooseberries.
