St. George Baller Single Malt Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

St. George Baller is an American single malt whiskey made in Alameda, California, in a 750ml bottle at 47% ABV. It is distilled from 100% malted barley in pot stills and matured for three to four years in used bourbon barrels and French oak wine casks. After filtration through maple charcoal, it is finished in casks that held the distillery's own umeshu, a Japanese-style plum liqueur made from California-grown ume fruit. Plum leads the nose, with subtle smoke, malt sweetness, gentle tropical notes and a touch of brine. The palate moves from soft malt to plum, mango and lychee, then salt and brown sugar. The finish is medium-long, smoky and lightly saline, with lingering plum.
