A three-year-old single malt from St. Kilian in Germany, released as Ambassador's Choice No. 6. It was distilled on 16 January 2019 and matured entirely in two 225-litre casks that previously held Amarone, an Italian red wine. It was bottled on 15 September 2022 at 54.2%.
The edition comprises 1,300 bottles of 50cl, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring.
The nose combines red berries and ripe peach with creamy vanilla and restrained oak spice. On the palate come creamy vanilla, blackberries, cherries and stewed plums, carried by firm oak and spice. The finish is long, with oak spice and fruity sweetness turning drier at the end.
