This is a three-year-old German single malt from St. Kilian, part of the distillery's Core Range, which was introduced at the end of 2022. The whisky comes entirely from the St. Kilian distillery in Rüdenau.
It is a vatting of whiskies matured 70% in ex-bourbon casks and 30% in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. It is unpeated, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle shaped like a copper still, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose has ripe apricots, peaches, yellow plums and cooked bananas, with creamy vanilla, spicy oak, fresh mint and a little sage. The palate is sweet and warming, with toffee and white pepper. The finish is long, with caramel, fine brittle, dry oak and a hint of herbs.
