Rock Believer is an unpeated German single malt from St. Kilian Distillers, created with the Scorpions for the band's 60th anniversary. It was the first release of that collaboration, in an edition of 7,500 bottles of 70cl at 47% ABV.
The whiskies in the vatting each matured entirely in German casks that previously held Bacchus and Scheurebe sweet wine, a white wine Spätlese or Chardonnay. The bottling is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings ripe grapes, apricot and pear with vanilla, oak spice and a little toffee. The palate is silky and fruity-sweet, with a light dryness like pale grape skins. The finish is long, warm and creamy, with soft wine notes, dry oak and fine tannins.
