St. Kilian – Terence Hill The Hero Batch 01 (70cl, 46%)

This is a blended whisky from St. Kilian Distillers in Germany, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle as the Terence Hill The Hero edition. It is Batch 01. St. Kilian combined its own whisky carrying ex-rum cask character with triple-distilled whiskey from the Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk, Ireland, which was matured in American ex-bourbon casks. The nose is fruity and sweet, with tropical fruit, pineapple and cooking banana, bourbon vanilla and cream caramel, plus a touch of molasses. On the palate come vanilla, brown sugar, pineapple, ripe banana, oak spice and a little cocoa. The finish is long, with pineapple cream, dark caramel and gentle dry oak.
