St. Magdalener Alto Adige DOC from Ritterhof is a light red wine with a subtle, measured personality typical of Alto Adige reds. It has a bright ruby colour, with aromas of ripe cherry, small red fruits and a light floral note, plus a delicate spice that does not dominate. The palate is smooth, with lively freshness and gentle tannins, making it immediately drinkable. Balance and sapidity hold together its light body, leaving a slender but pleasant persistence. It suits regional starters, cured meats, fresh cheeses, white meat dishes, rustic pizzas and not too rich Alpine preparations, and is also good as an aperitif. Serve around 14-16 C.
