Stagg Jr. is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at barrel proof, 65.5% ABV (131 proof), in a 75cl bottle. It is unfiltered and uncut. The name looks back to George T. Stagg, who built the most dominant American distillery of the 19th century, in what is known as the Gilded Age of Bourbon. The bourbon ages for nearly a decade. It is described as rich and sweet, with chocolate and brown sugar balanced by bold rye spice. The finish is long, with hints of cherries, cloves and smokiness.
