Starward – 10th Anniversary Bottling (70cl, 52%)

Starward 10th Anniversary Bottling is a single malt marking ten years of the Starward distillery. It was distilled, matured and bottled in Melbourne, and is bottled at 52% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The barrels were hand-selected from the distillery's own history for this release. The nose is full of dark, ripe fruit, including stewed plums, dried figs, sultanas and dark berries, alongside black forest gateau, burnt toffee and bitter orange. The palate is thick and syrupy, with dates, raisins and dark chocolate, balanced by espresso, black pepper and clove. The finish is medium to long and fruity, with strawberry and raspberry jam, malt bread and a touch of lemon.
