Starward – Two-Fold Double Grain Whisky (70cl)

Starward Two-Fold is an Australian double-grain whisky made from malted barley and Australian wheat. The barley adds depth, while the wheat brings an aromatic, dry character. It is matured in lightly charred or steamed barrels that previously held wine from Australian wineries known for shiraz, cabernet and pinot noir. The barrels are often filled while still wet with wine. Each whisky is matured separately in Melbourne's varied climate before the parts are blended together. It won a silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards in 2021. The whisky is described as smooth, with spiced vanilla, tropical fruit and cereal notes, rounded by red apple and berries. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
