Starward Vitalis is a single malt bottled to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Starward Distillery in Melbourne, Australia. It is bottled at 52% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in a combination of Australian tawny (port), bourbon, Apera (Australian sherry) and rum casks, giving both sweet and spicy layers.
The nose offers red fruits, raisins, toffee, orange peel and warm spices. The palate brings juicy berries, dark chocolate, caramel, spice, vanilla and soft tannins. The finish is long and slightly drying, with red fruit and caramel.
