El Clásico is a Danish rye whisky from Stauning that has been matured and then aged further in vermouth casks. It is bottled at 45.7% in a 70cl bottle.
The taste is warm and intense, with newly harvested grain, and a spicy, bittersweet aftertaste.
Orange marmalade, spiced stewed apple, red fruit and cinnamon fudge come through on the nose. The palate has dried cherry, dark toffee and more orange, with a crack of black pepper before classic rye spice emerges. The finish shows a touch of herbaceous vermouth bitterness and toasty oak.
