Still Austin Cask Strength Rye is a Texas rye whiskey made from a mash bill of 100% Texas-grown rye. It is bottled straight from the barrel at 116 proof, or 58% ABV, with no water added.
The nose brings dark cherry, deep barrel char, cinnamon and black pepper. On the palate it is thick and oily, with peppery rye grain and dark brown sugar, balanced by maple syrup, toasted pecans and vanilla.
The finish is very long, dry and warming, ending on a spicy rye kick.
