This is a 50 year old Speyside single malt from the Strathisla distillery, distilled in 1965 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2016. It was matured in a first-fill sherry puncheon and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The bottler describes it as sweet and fresh on the nose, with beeswax, ripe gooseberries and aniseed. The palate is creamy, with toffee, ripe summer fruits and a subtle hint of charred wood.
