A 30 year old Speyside single malt from Strathisla, released as Artist #12, a series that pairs selected old whiskies with specially designed artwork. It was distilled in 1991 and matured in a single refill barrel, number 1014, before bottling in 2022 at 42.3% ABV. The outturn is 146 bottles.
The nose offers ripe apples and pears with vanilla, honey, floral notes and fine oak. The palate is creamy, with yellow fruit, malty sweetness, caramel, herbs and gentle spice. The finish is long and balanced, with fruit, vanilla and dry oak.
