A 35-year-old Strathisla bottled by the distillery in 1986 to mark its bicentenary. It is a Speyside single malt in a 75cl bottle at 43%, and 500 bottles were released. The whisky is rumoured to be a batch of two ex-sherry puncheons from the 1947 vintage. It has more weight and character than its strength would suggest, and it is old school in style. Oily, waxy textures and flavours sit among sweet, old-style sherry notes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
