This is a 40 year old Speyside single malt from Strathisla, distilled in 1972 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2013. It was filled into first-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads and matured for over four decades.
It was bottled at 43% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The notes describe orchard-fruit elegance with layers of dark fruit, polished mahogany and gentle rancio spice.
