This is a 25 year old Japanese single malt from the 1990 vintage, bottled at cask strength. It comes from the Saburomaru distillery of Wakatsuru Shuzo in Toyama prefecture, where the malt is heavily peated to 50ppm.
It is a one-off release and the last under the original Sun Shine name, before the distillery moved its single malts to the Saburomaru label. Only 500 bottles were filled, each presented in a porcelain decanter with a wooden display case.
