Saburomaru Gyokuto Edition 2022 is a limited edition peated Japanese whisky from the Saburomaru distillery, which is known for its experiments with peat. The distillery works with cast iron stills that are unique in Japan, and this edition belongs to a series built around powerful, original profiles. The nose shows pronounced smoke with ripe fruit, vanilla and spice, plus a slight medicinal, woody edge. The palate is rich and slightly oily, with peat, caramel, dried fruit and pepper. The finish is long, smoky, spicy and woody.
