Suntory Old Whisky Year of the Rabbit 2023 (70cl, 43%)

This is a limited edition blended whisky from Suntory, made for the 2023 zodiac year of the rabbit. Each year the series carries a new bottle design inspired by the Chinese zodiac, and the 2023 bottle is decorated with rabbit motifs. It is in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The blend combines malt and grain whiskies from various casks. The nose is sweet grain with a little peat smoke, apple blossom and citrus zest. The palate brings ripe pear, honeyed malt and creamy vanilla, with subtle oak and a touch of spice in the middle. The finish has toasted oak, caramel and a light smokiness.
