Yamazaki Golden Promise is a Japanese single malt from Yamazaki, which is described as Japan's oldest whisky distillery. It belongs to The Essence of Suntory series and comes in a 50cl bottle at 53% ABV. It is made with Golden Promise barley, once popular in Scotch whisky production and now rare because of its lower yield. The barley is valued for a rich, creamy texture, and the whisky was matured in select barrels. The nose offers ripe apples, honey and delicate floral hints. The palate is vanilla and subtle spice with a velvety, full-bodied mouthfeel, and the finish is long, with sweet malt and soft oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
