This is a Yamazaki single malt from The Essence of Suntory Whisky series, of which it is the fifth edition. The barley was Optic, dried over peat from the Scottish island of Islay.
The whisky matured in bourbon barrels from 2010 to 2021, a span of 11 years, and was bottled at a cask strength of 48%, in a 50cl bottle. It was released only in bars in Japan.
