Suntory Toki (70cl, 43%)

Suntory Toki is a blended Japanese whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was made for export and first released in 2016 for the US and Canada, reaching the UK in 2018. Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo blended whiskies from the Hakushu, Yamazaki and Chita distilleries. The colour is a very pale gold and the flavour is light, with green apple and a vanilla sweetness from the malt and grain. The nose offers basil, green apple, melon and honey. The palate has grapefruit, green grapes, peppermint and thyme, turning sweet. The finish is subtly sweet and spicy, with vanilla oak, white pepper and ginger.
