Suntory Whisky Crest 12 Year Old is a Japanese blend of malt and grain whiskies, each matured for at least twelve years. It was launched in 1989 and comes in a 70cl bottle. The casks were chosen from several of Suntory's distilleries, including Yamazaki and Hakushu, and their different characters are blended into a single whisky. The nose offers dried apricot, honeyed malt and a hint of sandalwood. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, with ripe orchard fruit, vanilla cream and gentle cinnamon. The finish is clean and lingering, with delicate oak and a touch of sweet caramel.
