Suntory Yamazaki 12 Year Old "Watami Founders Choice" was made at the Yamazaki Distillery and matured for twelve years in Spanish oak, American oak and Japanese Mizunara casks. It is named in honour of the founder Shinjiro Torii and the master blender Keizo Saji.
The nose offers vanilla, honey and dried fruits, with faint Mizunara oak. The palate is silky, with coconut, cinnamon and apricot, and the finish carries sweet ginger and spicy chocolate.
