Talisker 10 Year Old is distilled at Carbost on the shore of Loch Harport, on the Isle of Skye, and matured in American oak casks. It is bottled at 45.8%, in a 70cl bottle.
Talisker is the oldest distillery on Skye, and this whisky is known for its maritime peat and peppery attack.
The nose brings peat smoke, sea spray and black pepper, with a sweetness of dried fruit and malted barley. The palate is warming and briny, with smoke, salt and citrus, and a burst of pepper at the end. The finish is long, smoky and peppery, with a soft note of malt.
