Talisker 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Skye and a member of Diageo's Classic Malts series. It is aged for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks and bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fresh and fragrant, with thick, pungent smoke, sweet pear and apple peel, and pinches of sea salt from kippers and seaweed. On the palate, peat crackles with black pepper, alongside brine, dry barley and orchard fruit. The long finish brings bonfire embers, toasted malt and a sugary underlay.
